Utilisation Reminders
Enable PowerUpUtilisation Reminders is usage based maintenance for itemit: a PowerUp that raises asset maintenance reminders from hours used rather than dates on a calendar. It works by counting the hours an item spends checked out and creating a maintenance reminder when that total passes a threshold you set in a rule. The main use cases are plant and generators serviced by running hours, shared tools that wear with use, and any fleet where the busiest unit needs attention first. Common features include rules scoped to items, collections or locations, an optional item name pattern, a usage card on the item profile and a reset once the service is done. The key benefit is that the hardest-worked equipment is serviced first, and idle equipment is not serviced for the sake of a date.
The Problem
Service intervals get set by date because usage data is awkward to collect. Equipment that is barely touched is serviced on schedule, while the hardest-worked assets in the fleet run well past the point somebody should have looked at them.
The Solution
Maintenance follows actual use. Checkout hours accumulate on their own, the reminder appears when the threshold is reached, and the usage card shows how close anything is to its next service without anyone tallying it up by hand.

A plant hire depot sets a 250-hour rule across its generators. One unit reaches 250 hours of checkouts in six weeks and another takes seven months. Both raise a service reminder at the right point, and the depot resets each cycle once the work has been logged.
