For example, checkout requests can go to #equipment-requests, maintenance alerts to #ops-maintenance, and approval notifications as DMs to specific managers. Routing is fully customisable by asset category, location, or alert type.

Absolutely. When a checkout request is sent to Slack, the message includes interactive Approve and Reject buttons. The approver can action the request with a single tap — no need to open itemit. The requester receives an instant DM confirmation.
