Custom QR URLs
Enable PowerUpThe Custom QR URLs PowerUp lets you generate a scannable QR barcode for any asset that points to a unique itemit web URL (e.g. qr.itemit.com/a/UUID). Unlike standard in-app QR codes, these links open a public or access-controlled web view, meaning contractors, auditors, or visitors can see asset information simply by pointing their phone camera at the label. Codes are generated on-demand: click Generate on any asset and the QR is instantly created and linked to that item, giving you a controlled rollout without flooding every record with labels upfront.

Standard QR codes only work for logged-in app users, making it impossible for contractors, auditors, or visitors to access the asset information they need on site.
