itemit Team

itemit Team is the collective byline for posts written by more than one person at RedBite Solutions, the University of Cambridge spin-out that builds itemit. It is not a pen name for an individual: it is used when product, engineering, operations and support have all contributed to a piece.

These are usually the posts that need more than one desk to get right. Product release notes and feature walkthroughs, how a capability behaves on the phone versus the web app, hardware guidance where the answer depends on the reader and the environment, and the reference pieces that get revised whenever the software changes.

RedBite was founded in Cambridge in 2006 and has been working on item-level identification since before asset tracking was something you could buy from an app store. itemit is the product of that work, used by construction firms, IT departments, schools, charities and public sector teams to keep track of what they own.

Anything published under this byline has been reviewed by the itemit team before release. Where a post makes a specific claim about the product, it was checked against the product.

Writes about: Asset tracking software, QR code and barcode asset tracking, RFID asset tracking, GPS tracking, Asset management best practice.
