Tracking PPE for Cambridge University Hospitals
The University of Cambridge, its alumni and partners are donating personal protective equipment to be made available to the NHS medics battling the COVID-19 outbreak.
Andy Neely OBE, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Enterprise and Business Relations at the University of Cambridge is leading the operation. The team of volunteers at one of the Cambridge Colleges are storing donated supplies and using the itemit asset tracking software to record and monitor PPE inventory levels. Over at Addenbrooke’s hospital, the team use itemit to order the quantity of PPE supplies required.
The solution has been set up in a matter of days. To find out more about how you can achieve a similar set up, speak to the itemit team today, call 01223 421611.

Tracking COVID-19 Test Kits for Cambridge University
Cambridge University are also using itemit’s asset tracking software to track and manage COVID-19 test kits.
The tracking used spans from when test kits are received in the University’s warehouse to when they’re sent out to colleges to when they’re collected, ready for analysis.
Overall, this gives the team the transparency they need to predict stock levels and reduce the chance of lost, valuable test kits.
